HISTORY

Twelve members of the current squad started training together in 2002 as part of a different club. Nine of those lads have played together as the Panthers since the 2003-2004 season. In 2006 we became part of the SAFC 24-7 Foundation and over the following years were joined by a number of new members and recently by three old friends, some of who came along initially for training only. By the end of the 2007 -2008 season our numbers had grown to the point where we had enough lads to form two teams: Panthers and Pumas.

The Panthers were sponsored for the 2007-2008 season by Armitage Communications who were introduced to us by one of our players. Armitage Communications have kindly agreed to sponsor us again, this time for both teams, for the 2008-2009 season.
